Coburg’s Post Office Hotel mixes the old with the new. A renovation in 2010 restored much of the old girl’s original art deco features, breathing new life into the hotel. The team behind the bar provide an old-fashioned warmth and hospitality, and with a background in music, ensure classic tunes are always part of the equation.
Take in the live music in the spacious front bar on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, while on Sundays bring the family for a relaxed weekly-changing winter roast or summer barbecue while checking out the afternoon band.
Elsewhere, enjoy a glass of wine in the cosy Lounge Bar with fireplace, intimate dining on Chesterfields in the Lounge, or throw back a crisp cider in the leafy beer garden.
From the kitchen, you can dine from our cracking gastro-pub menu that’s available venue-wide.
We like to keep the front bar reservation free, allowing everyone to enjoy the space every day.

We booked a table for a family celebration and everything ran smoothly. The team were organised, accommodating and made everyone feel welcome from arrival through to dessert. The meals were excellent, the atmosphere was lively without being too noisy, and we’ll certainly be returning for another special gathering.
We met friends here for dinner and were impressed from the start. The dining room had a welcoming atmosphere, the meals were generous and full of flavour, and the staff checked in regularly without interrupting our conversation. It’s the kind of pub that manages to feel both relaxed and consistently high quality.
This has quickly become one of my favourite places for a casual dinner. The menu offered plenty of variety, every dish arrived beautifully cooked and the service remained friendly despite a busy evening. It strikes a great balance between classic pub comfort and a more refined dining experience.
